Yamaha / YFZ 450R / Foot Peg Cage Set Installation Instructions

Installation

!!! WARNING !!! Before working on your machine, make sure it is parked on a level surface with the transmission in park and/or the parking brake engaged.

1. Remove the hardware securing the outer footpeg cage to the main peg.  Removal of the heel guard frame or net is not necessary.

2. Slide the outer cage out and away from the heel guard assembly.  
TIP: If needed, loosen the upper mounting hardware on the heel guard frame to ease removal of the footpeg cage.  (See Figure #1)

3. Install the new footpeg cages and secure with the provided hardware.  Check and tighten all hardware for the footpeg and heel guard frame.  
NOTE: The outer footpeg cages are left-right specific.  Pay attention to the integrated skid plate, the open portion on the underside sould face towards the rear of the machine.   (See Figure #2)
