Polaris / Sportsman 450/570 / Rear Bumper Installation Instructions

Installation

***Before working on your machine make sure it is parked on a level surface with the transmission in park and/or the parking brake engaged. ***

1. Temporarily install the provided (2) 5/16"x18 Self Tapping Flanged Head Bolts into the lower bolt holes in the rear sub-frame.  This will create the threads in the sub-frame and make final installation of the bumper easier.(See Figure #1)

2. Remove the self-tapping bolts installed in the previous step.

3. Loosely install the bumper starting with the two lower mounting points and the provided (2) 5/16"x18 Self Tapping Flanged Head Bolts , then the upper mounting points using the provided (2) M8-1.25x20 Flanged Head Hex Bolts,  (2) M8x1.25x20 Hex Bolts, and (2) M8x1.25x20 Hex Bolts.

4. Check for proper alignment and clearance then tighten all hardware.(See Figure #2)
