For Models: Scrambler XP 1000 S (2020-2024)
!!! WARNING !!! Before working on your machine, make sure it is parked on a level surface with the transmission in park and/or the parking brake engaged.
1. Remove the (4) bolts securing the original front bumper and remove the bumper from the vehicle. Save (2) of the bolts, they will be used for the installation of the HMF bumper.(See Figure #1)
2. Loosely install the provided Front Bumper Winch Plate using the provided (2) M8-1.25x20 Hex Bolts and (2) 1/4" Flat Washers. Do not tighten. (See Figure #2)
Note: If you are installing a winch with this bumper it is recommended to mount the winch to the plate before installing the plate to the vehicle.(See Figure #3)
3. Line up the HMF front bumper with the vehicle and loosely secure the upper mounting points using (2) of the original bumper bolts. Do not tighten the bolts, and ensure that the winch plate previous installed is below the mounting plate of the bumper.(See Figure #4)
4. Loosely secure the winch plate to the front bumper using the provided (2) M8-1.25x20 Hex Bolts, (2) M8-1.25 Nylock Nuts, and (4) 1/4" Flat Washers.(See Figure #5)
5. Using the provided (2) M8-1.25x30 Buttonhead Bolts, (2) 1/4" Flat Washers, and (2) 1/4" Aluminum Spacers secure the skidplate and lower mounting tabs of the bumper to the vehicle's frame.
IMPORTANT: The provided aluminum spacers are to be placed between the frame of the vehicle and the HMF bumper as pictured.(See Figure #6)
6. Secure the upper portion of the skid plate to the bumper using the remaining (2) M8-1.25x30 Buttonhead Bolts, (4) 1/4" Flat Washers, and (2) M8-1.25 Nylock Nuts.
Note: If installing a winch use the hardware provided with the fairlead (not included with the bumper) to secure the fairlead and skid plate to the bumper as pictured below.(See Figure #7)
7. Check for proper alignment and clearance then tighten all hardware evenly. (See Figure #8)
