Honda Rancher 420: IRS Full System Installation Instructions For Models: Foreman Rubicon (2015-2025), Rancher 420: IRS (2009-2024)
1. Remove the Seat and Side plastics. Unplug the oxygen sensor from the vehicle wiring harness, Head pipe-to-cylinder head nuts, and original exhaust system. (One piece system)

1. Inspect the original gasket for wear or damage and replace it if necessary.
2. Install the head pipe using original head pipe-to-cylinder head nuts. Do not tighten.
3. Carefully install the supplied heat shield material inside of the left-rear-fender closest to the head pipe.
4. Install the supplied steel hanger spacers into the rubber inserts in the exhaust hangers. A light application of WD-40 to the spacer and the rubber inserts will make installation much smoother.
5. Slide the supplied Clamp onto the inlet of the HMF silencer.(See Figure #1)
6. Position the HMF silencer in the original mounting position and insert the supplied bolts, washers, and nyloc nuts. You may need to rotate the head pipe to align both silencer hangers.
7. Check all areas around the entire exhaust system for proper alignment and clearance.(See Figure #2)
8. Starting at the Head pipe-to-cylinder head nuts, tighten all mounting hardware.
9. Place the supplied Heatshield Square on the inside of the fender plastic, closest to the head pipe.(See Figure #3)
