Can Am Outlander 500/650/800 MAX/XMR Slip-On Clamp Mount 06-12 Installation Instructions For Models: Outlander 800 XMR (2011-2012), Outlander 800 MAX (2006-2012), Outlander 500 MAX (2007-2012), Outlander 650 MAX (2006-2012)
1. Make sure the machine is on level ground and completely cooled down.
2. Loosen the Stock Clamp or Springs (Depending on the model year) that holds the Silcener and Head Pipe together.
3. Loosen the Silencer Mounting Bolts.
4. Brace the back of the Silencer with one hand, and take the bolts the rest of the way out.
5. Pull back and twist with until the Silencer is removed.
6. CLAMP MODEL: Remove the Stock Gasket off of the Header, you will no longer need it with the HMF Exhaust.
CLAMP MODEL(See Figure #1)
1. Slide the provided Clamp over the end of the HMF Silencer. Then, slide the Silencer onto the Head Pipe. Some pushing and twisting may be necessary.
2. Mount the Silencer with the supplied hardware and tighten.
3. Tighten the Clamp to secure the Silencer to the Head Pipe.
4. With most applications, tuning is a necessity.
