Arctic Cat Wildcat Trail Slip-On Performance Series Installation Instructions

Removal

1) Use a long piece of electrical wire to remove the springs from the silencer to head pipe joint.

2) Pull back on the silencer to remove it.

Installation

NOTE:  For the Performance series, remove the 5 torx head screws that hold the original silencer heat shield to the frame and remove the heat shield.  It will not be used with your new HMF Performance series silencer.

1) Inspect the gasket at the end of the head pipe for wear or damage.  Replace it if necessary.

2) Position your new silencer in the stock location.  The swamp (XL) uses round bar hangers that slide through the rubber grommets on the frame.  The performance series comes with new mounting hardware.   (See Figure #1)

3) Use a long piece of electrical wire to install the supplied springs at the head pipe to silencer joint.

4) Check all areas around the exhaust for proper alignment and clearance.  Adjust if necessary.
