For Models: Raptor 660 (2001-2005)
1. Make sure the machine is on level ground and completely cooled down.
2. Loosen the Stock Clamp that holds the Silencer and the Head Pipe together.
3. Loosen the Silencer Mounting Bolts.
4. Brace the back of the Silencer with one hand and take the bolts the rest of the way out.
5. Pull back and twist to remove the silencer.
6. Remove the 4 Head pipe flange nuts and remove the head pipe.
7. Keep the Original Head pipe gaskets. They will be reused.
1. Position the Y Collector Pipe in the Frame.
2. Insert the First Hook into the Right Exhaust Port and the right side of the Y Collector.
3. Finger tighten the Header Nuts down onto the Flange, allowing the Head Pipes to still have movement.
4. Attach the Spring from the Hook to the Collector. (See Figure #1)
5. Position the 2nd Hook underneath the Pipe and into the Left Exhaust Port. Then, finger tighten the Header Nuts down onto the Flange, allowing the Head Pipe to still have movement. (See Figure #2)
6. Rotate the Hook and Y Collector accordingly until the Hook slides into the Collector. This is a tight fit and will require some “elbow grease”. (See Figure #3)
7. Slide the T-Bolt Clamp over the end of the HMF Head Pipe and then slide the Silencer into the Head Pipe. Some pushing and twisting may be necessary. (See Figure #4)
8. Mount the Silencer with the Stock Bolts or supplied hardware, and tighten.
9. Tighten the Header Bolts onto the Flange and T-Bolt Clamp to secure the Silencer to the Head Pipe.
10. With most applications, re jetting/remapping is a necessity.
