For Models: KTM 450/525 XC (2008-2012)
1. Remove the Rear Shock to allow clearance for the Header.
(HMF Header will go on and off without removing the Shock.)
a. To remove the Shock, you must jack-up the Frame and Rear Wheel so the Swingarm is fully extended.
(When jacking up the frame, make sure your ATV is on level ground and in a secure position. Chock the front wheels.)
b. Remove the Rear Plastic to access the Shock.
c. Remove the 2 Bolts that hold the Shock on and remove the Shock.
d. Remove the Header Springs, Bolts, and Header.
1. Attach a Spring on the front section of the Header.(See Figure #1)
2. Slide the rear section of the Header onto the front section of the Header and install the Spring.
3. Slide the Silencer onto the HMF Header and bolt the HMF Silencer onto the Sub-frame Clamp and clamp the Header.(See Figure #2)
