HMF Racing Slip On Exhaust Instructions

For Models: Teryx (2014-2022), Teryx 4 (2014-2022)

Removal

1. Access the flange between the silencer and the head pipe.  You may need to remove multiple panels and parts to access this flange depending if your machine is a 2 seat or 4 seat Teryx.(See Figure #1)

2. Remove the (3) Nuts and (3) Spacers holding the original silencer to the exhaust pipe flange.  Set the spacers aside for use later.

3. Remove the bolt holding the rear silencer mount.  Brace the silencer and slide the mount off the mounting rod of siencer.  Save the rear mount with the rubber isolator for use later.(See Figure #2)

4. Carefully remove the original silencer from the machine by pulling rearward.

5. Check for the gasket between the exhaust pipe flange and the silencer.  Place it on the exhaust pipe flange, if damaged replace with a new one.

Installation

1. Slide the HMF silencer into place over the factory exhaust pipe.  

2. Brace the back of the exhaust and install the rear mount with rubber isolator over the rear HMF mounting rod.  Pay attention to stamped “TOP” or “UPPER” orientation of the mount. Do not install the mounting bolt at this point.  

3. Using the provided (3) M8x25 Hex Bolts, (3) M8 Stonuts, (3) M8 Washers, and (3) Spacers saved during disassembly secure the HMF silencer to the factory exhaust pipe flange as shown below.(See Figure #3)

4. Install the bolt saved previously to the rear hanger mount.

5. Inspect for proper alignment and clearance, adjust as needed.
