For Models: Spyder F3 S (2015-2017)
1. Loosen the clamp between the Primary muffler and secondary muffler. (See Figure #1)
2. Pull back on the secondary muffler to remove it from the hanger assembly.
3. Use a long piece of electrical wire to remove the 3 springs from the Head Pipe-to-Primary-Muffler Joint. (See Figure #2)
4. There is a rubber hanger above the Primary muffler that is difficult to reach. From the right (muffler) side of the machine, use a long screw driver or similar tool to push the rubber hanger toward the left side of the machine to slide it off of the muffler mount.
5. Slide the primary muffler toward the back of the machine to remove it. (See Figure #3)
1. Inspect the original donut gasket for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
2. With the silencer bracket bolts finger tight, carefully slide your new HMF slip on exhaust into the 3 original rubber grommets. (Light penetrating oil can be used to aid installation)
3. Using a long piece of electrical wire, install the 3 original springs at the head pipe to inlet joint.
4. Tighten the silencer bracket bolts along with any other hardware that you may have loosened during installation.
