Rear Bumper, Polaris® Scrambler XP 1000 S Instructions !!! WARNING !!! Before working on your machine, make sure it is parked on a level surface with the transmission in park and/or the parking brake engaged.
1. Remove the (4) bolts securing the original bumper/grab bar. Save these bolts, they will be used to install the HMF rear bumper.
2. Remove the original bumper.
3. Align the top mounting plates of the HMF bumper in the same way that the original bumper attached. Loosely reinstall the (4) previously removed bolts. (See Figure #1)
4. Loosely install the provided (2) M8-1.25x20 Hex Bolts and (2) 1/4" Flat Washers to secure the lower mounting plate to the frame of the vehicle.(See Figure #2)
Note: Inspect the threads of the lower mounting points. Ensure no dirt or debris is present. Clean as needed.
5. Check for proper alignment and clearance then tighten all hardware evenly. (See Figure #3)
