Here we are again for the last race of the FMI Italian championship in Liscate, Milan. The title is still open and the distance between all the pilot is very tight, where our driver Luca Locatelli #8 have just to finish the race to get the podium, instead Nicolò Algarotti #246 have more difficult job to do cause of the bed start at the first race of the season in Savignano sul Panaro.
SATURDAY / The free practice where canceled cause of the very bad thunderstorm over night that did’t gave the pilot the possibility to make an initial set up.
SUNDAY / Before the qualifying the race committee has declared some extra minute to have an initial view of the track. In the qualifying stage Luca Locatelli #8 has no problem and close the session in 3rd place, instead Nicolò Algarotti #246 has a problem to the manifold tube of the turbo causing a big loss of power to the car. He will close at 6th place.
RACE 1 / Ready, set, go.The race start and the 18 pilot on the track begin to fight to overtake and get position. Locatelli made a clean race closing 4th, instead Algarotti, thanks to an amazing set up of the car, started to overtake all the pilot finishing in 1st place with 5seconds between the second car.
RACE 2 / Two hours later started race 2, but after a few laps the Can Am of Algarotti has a problem to the sensor that control the cooling system of the driving belt, taking that part to collapse reaching more than 210c of temperature. Locatelli will continue to end making a clean and safe race.
He will finish in 2nd place taking also the title of FMI Italian Champion.
