HMF March 2016 Update

HMF March 2016 Update

Signature X and Penland Pro Series are Discontinued

One of our first changes in 2016 is the simplification and unification of the brand.  To meet this goal we have removed two of our low selling series of exhausts.  The Penland Pro series and the Signature X are now discontinued.  This will reduce the overall amount of part numbers when dealing with our product.  The Competition series that we offer produces more gains than the Signature X.  If you have a customer who still is interested in the Penland or Signature X, we will offer the name badges sold separately.  The addition of a torque range modifier (TRM for short) to a performance series exhaust will in fact make it a Penland.

IQ Equipment is growing

With the growing market of UTV owners, we have been hard at work improving our IQ Defense line.  There has been an increased demand for bumpers which are aesthetically pleasing and also able to get the job done.  All of our UTV bumpers are hand welded and made of A-513 mild steel.  We are now offering new lightweight bumpers as an alternative option.  Beyond these changes, we are now carrying a larger overall selection of accessories ranging from cargo rack carriers to tube clamps.   Finally, we are striving to match as many new model colors as possible on our bumpers.

The Swamp has changed to Titan

Another new change at HMF is the rebranding of our Swamp and Swamp XL series.  They are now going to be referred to as the Titan-QS and Titan-XL.  This will be reflected with a new name badge but the exhaust has not changed otherwise.  The Swamp series exhausts will still be available for our loyal customers but will now only be available as a kit, coming with the HMF snorkel.  This is to prevent the misuse of the Swamp and Swamp XL.  As is the case with our other exhaust series, the name plates will still be offered for purchase separately.  Let us know if you need some sent out to rebadge old Swamp or Swamp XL series that you have in stock.

Dual Titan System Big for UTV

We are now offering a dual Titan series exhaust (available in QS Quiet Series or XL Extra Loud).  This is only available for UTVs and is a dual stainless exhaust.  This is for the customer who is pushing the limits of their machine.  This new exhaust system offered by HMF has been tested in multiple consecutive 200-300 mile desert races without failure.  It is a great replacement for the stock exhaust on a UTV and will pick up immense power while also offering the versatility of being able to endure the elements.  It can take hits and keep going, this is a new animal.

Blackout Exhaust takes off

After our first complete year of offering Blackout, we are very happy with the results.  In 2015, 1 in 20 exhausts sold were Blackout and sales are still increasing.  For a brand-new system we are very happy with this outcome, especially when offering so many options and colors to choose from. Blackout is available for the Performance Series or the Titan/Swamp series.  Selling points beyond the visual appeal are increased durability of the exhaust, heat resistance of up to 1200+ degrees without flaking or discoloring and the exhaust system is easier to clean.

ECU Flashes are the next greatest thing

We now offer an ECU flash service for UTVs.  We can flash the factory ECU or sell the customer a brand new ECU unit.  This is another great way to add power to UTVs.  For example, on the RZR Turbo EPS flash we picked up 25 horsepower at the rear wheels when paired with our exhaust for that unit.  We are increasing the model list for our ECU flashes so be on the lookout for new ones coming soon.

Polaris Sportsman 11-16 Update

We very recently updated our fitment on the Sportsman 850 model (applies to XP and SP sub-models as well) and redesigned our exhaust for it between the years 2010-2015.  There is now a 2011-2015 Sportsman 850 exhaust and one specifically for the 2010.  Please make note of this in your listings and part number systems.

Tuning is tricky for new Can Ams
The 2015 and 2016 Can-Am models are becoming increasingly specific with their tuning.  Make sure you are double checking the part number for your customer because we have many new fuel maps for the 2015 and 2016 Can-Am Models.  Even the Renegade and Outlander have different fuel maps now, in 2016.
