This week the HMF ATV Exhaust team went out to Hurricane Mills, Tennessee for the 5th round of the GNCC National Race Series at Loretta Lynn. Just like past years, Loretta's was drenched after the nonstop rain blast that swept Tennessee this weekend. This only intensifies the battles that were to shape up.

In the XC1 race, HMF team rider Don Ockerman had his best result of the 2010 GNCC season with a 3rd place finish. Ockerman was in a tight group off the start and maintained a consistent pace throughout the entire race. Johnny Gallagher had an impressive performance this weekend at Loretta's as well. Gallagher kept a solid pace throughout the XC1 race on his YFZ and finished with a strong 6th place. Other XC1 HMF riders Jeff Pickens and Todd Demaree finished off the top 10 with 8th and 10th place finishes.

In the XC2 Pro Am race, HMF Team Rider Brian Wolf won the Motorcycle-USA.com Holeshot, but ran into problems with his chain on the first lap. Unfortunately, it caused Wolf to DNF, but he still stands at the top of the points standings with 110. We look to see him rebound in the next round. HMF Rider Mark Notman grabbed the 10 spot in the XC2 race, putting on an excellent performance throughout the race.

In the women's class, Traci Cecco grabbed 2nd and won the Women's class. Cecco was able to pass Atwell on the last part of the track to take the win. "It was so muddy you couldn't tell who you were battling with but it was great fun racing with Dave and Angel up and down the hills," Cecco said.

All in all the race at Loretta Lynn's was a success for the HMF Team. With HMF team riders Ockerman and Cecco finding spots at the podium, it keeps Team HMF close in the top point standings.
