--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I want to modify a arctic cat 500 exhaust to fit my AC 400. the pipe diagram looks almost the same.
all that look like that needs to be done is trim the circular thing off the head pipe, drill a hole in the rack mount for the main mount to fit and and the mount by the end cap, just put that in the regular exhaust holder hole with a bolt. what are your thoughs on this? ive see it done before. even better, do you think youll be coming out with with a AC 400 one any time soon. even if it requires a slight head pipe mod. I would appreciate your input! thanks again..... :)

With enough altering and modifying, pretty much anything can be made to fit something that it wasn't designed for. When we do R&D on a specific machine, more then just "fitment" is taken into consideration. The tuning is a huge factor and the bottom line is that we have never had a 400 in house to do ANY testing on. Can it be made to work?, possibly but we do not recommend it. If you want to give it a shot, keep in mind that if any system is run or altered in any way, it can not be returned or held under warranty. At this time, no Arctic Cat models are slated for any R&D.

sorry for makign 2 threads, i just though i posted in the wrong forum. I guess ill give it a shot...Is it a possibility ANY time in the future there could be some new HMFs for arctic cats?
It looks pretty simple as far as modification goes.
Could you possibly give me the measurements of the AC 500's HMF inlet size??
thanks!
