HI i just purchased a swamp pipe for my 750 king quad 2010.
Right now i have the VDI controller with it and 27" zillas tires and a clutch kit installed with the yellow EPI spring and 18 gram weights in the primary.

Just wondering what rpm the engine should shift out at?
The pipe has the insert and spark arester installed.
We are at 2500 ft above sea level and with this setup we are getting 5900 to 6050 rpm shifting out. Should we go lighter on the weights or is this good. What is ideal for rpm shifting out for this setup?

Thanks in advance.

I use to have a Swamp Series on my KQ...sold it and got a Utility Series. I wished I would have kept the SS. I had more low end torque with it. Now the Utility series is a nice pipe, I just had more low end with the swamp series. VERY good pipe from HMF.

I live at about 1900 ft. on average. I have a VDI & M109R injector on my KQ. With my 27" Interco Reptile Trail tires I turn about 6500-6700 RPM"s with my utility series. I use to have some 27" Zilla's and they do run a little shorter than the stated size. It should be a higher than what RPM's your getting.

What are you reading your RPM's with? I'm an EFI tuner. I read mine off my wideband and its reading it directly from the VDI. 18 gram rollers are little too light for the 27 Zilla's IMO. I run the Dalton Orange Secondary with 18.5 gram rollers weights for mud racing with 28" Silverbacks and also on my 27" Reptiles...but they are a lot heavier than the Zilla's. I would jump up to 20 gram rollers if I were you. Do you have an clutch work done? Such as the Coop mods? I have a custom primary cut from CMG clutch works and 1mm shim with the fixed plate mod on mine.

What kind of map do you have in your VDI?
