I recently bought a HMF slip-on for my 07 Raptor and an EFI optimizer. The pipe was installed and ran stock and was missing when it was fired up...my dad installed the optimizer and now it wont fire. Not sure if theres something wrong with the connections or what. Im very confused because ive heard from people that an optimizer is not needed unless you have a full system, like with the older jetted models. Wondering if it was backfiring because it wasnt used to the pipe or if i actually do need the optimizer, either way I need assistance. Thank you

The Optimizers factory settings are for our exhaust with no air box lid. If you haven't pulled the lid off, do so and re test. I have seen this happen a few times and cause a rich condition and in some cases foul plugs. Always start with our base settings. These are not conservative settings, they are what produced the best power and torque during testing.

Well I guess I should have mentioned that my dad got a PowerCommander III instead of the HMF Optimizer...didnt know this, just returned from overseas...wondering if I should attempt to sell it or take it back and buy an Optimizer...I know the pre-mapped settings would be more specific for my quad and be alot easier. The only maps I can find for 700 are for a HMF Full system, which means i would have to program my own map which i have no idea how to do. This sucks lol

Try M416-041, M416-040, or M416-039 depending on your intake setup. One of those should be very close. Keep me posted.
