QRS heatshield option

I noticed that the header from my QRS kit dosen't have threaded bungs to mount a heat shield. Can I send the header in to get bungs welded on? Would do it myself but afraid I'll ruin the warranty.

You could weld something on the headpipe and possibly use the stock shield.

Depending on application we may have a carbon fiber heatshield. They are $85

I'm down with the carbon fiber, but how does it mount? Looks to me like it bolts on. Does it mount with a pipe strap type material, ie CLAMPS?

Yes it uses worm type hose clamps but they are hidden by the shield itself. The heat shield looks like it just floats in place. Very trick.
