i installed your slip on system and i rejetted to a 155 in the front and 165 in the rear but i did not have the pilot jets (there on order) and i set the mixture
screw 3 turns out and i shimed the front and rear needle. so i decided to give it a try to see how it would run and it ran very bad on the low end(cutting out) so i guess the pilot jets really do have to be changed i just thought adjusting the mixture screw would get it close. the directions say to adjust the mixture screw 2.5 turns out is that for both carbs when i change the pilot jets from 38 to 42

Hey Neckbone, something you may want to do before you get all your jetting completed is purchase: K+N Filter ( It's available for the Brute now), A CDI kit from Highlifter, and give DynoJet a call they have everything you need and all the data to support it. I installed a Full System HMF Utility pipe on my Brute and purchased the Dynojet kit. Changed everything over and it ran great at mid-high end RPM but it would still cough through the carbs at idle and low end (A Kawasaki problem not a HMF problem). I changed the CDI and the air filter and this thing smoothed right out.! K+N Filter $69.00, Highlifter CDI $99.00, HMF Exhaust and leaving your buddies in a cloud of dust and a rumble $ Priceless.

Happy Trails To You And Your BRUTE
