What we did to tune our Raptor 350 was lowered the needle clip 1 position to raise the needle up. Always do a spark plug check to verify. Hope this helps.

The power gains that we got were 2-3 HP through out the RPM range. To gain more power, you can always open the intake up to breathe better with an after market air filter. Keep in mind that that will require you to go up in jet sizes. Hope this helps.

To get to the needle, you must open the top of the carb. There should be a small arm that holds the needle. You can take the arm out along with the needle. *CAUTION* there are many small washers and screws in this area of the carb.

The main jet is located at the bottom of the carb and you must, obviously, open up the bottom of the carb to get to this. Place one small wrench on the main jet holder to keep it from moving and with another wrench, unscrew the main jet. Assemble and you are ready to rip

To crudely check your jetting:

Open the airbox - if it runns better, you may be too rich
Turn the choke on a bit - if it runns better, you may be too lean.

Hope this helps. :)

I found the needle and there was no adjustment on it. it only had one notch. returned carb to stock and the engine seems as if it is starving for fuel. Could it be running that lean? what are some possible fixes?

You may be able to pick up a needle with adjustments from your dealer. Chances are that if you add a pipe it will run quite lean. In most cases it isn't too dangerous however you will lose a lot of power. Did you tune your main jet?
