[B]BEFORE doing any electrical installation READ and UNDERSTAND the MANUFACTURERS installation instructions completely, you DO NOT get a second chance with anything electrical if you make a mistake.
Work safe, this procedure requires you to put your hands in tight places, make sure the engine, exhaust system and surrounding areas are cold before starting the removal process.
Make sure you secure the machine in such a way that it cannot be moved or started until you have completed your work.

BEFORE start up, make sure that the exhaust system/slip on (headpipe (s), s-bend (s), muffler (s) are clear of any plastic, electrical, fuel, control cables, hydraulic lines or anything else that high heat of the exhaust system can damage.

Dobeck EFI Box installation:

*Remove the seat.
*Remove the top plastic cover. (See picture # 1)
*Remove the side plastic cover. (See picture # 2)
The best place to store the Dobeck box is under the speedometer plastic cover. The speedo/cover just slips off at this stage, find a good place to mount the box.
*Run the Dobeck wire harness alongside the stock injector wire harness and away from any moving or hot engine parts. Secure the Dobeck wire harness with zip-tys every so often. (See picture # 3)

*Locate the injectors. (See picture # 4)
*This is a close up of the front cylinder injector location. (See picture # 5)
*Do one injector at a time starting with the rear cylinder first:
*Unplug the stock connector from the injector. (See picture # 6)
*Plug the Dobeck connector onto the injector. (See picture #7)
*Plug the Dobeck short pigtail connector into the stock connector that was on the injector. (See picture # 8)
*Do the same procedure for the front cylinder injector next.
*You can ground the Dobeck (-) wire at the location pictured.
NOTE: The bolt is plated and the part it secures is plastic, make sure you get a proper ground by checking with a continuity tester. (See picture # 9)

A good place to mount the Dobeck box is under the speedometer housing.
(See picture # 10)

NOTE: The style of your Dobeck box may differ from the one in the photo.
*You can now re install all the plastic body parts and seat.

NOTE: Re check your wire routing and Dobeck box location and make certain that in no way the wires can come into contact with any moving parts or high heat source and that the Dobeck box is mounted in a way as to not cause a handling problem with the machine.
YOU are responsible for the final safety check of YOUR installation.
